5/42 Evzones Regiment was a guerrilla group whose legacy become hegemonic with the anti-communist narrative, mainly due to the murder of its leader, colonel Psarros, who was executed by ELAS. The post-war anticommunist struggle dictated, to a large extent, the group’s official recognition, as well as its legacy.
